Google and Real Turkey

Özel Arama
I am a citizen of Istanbul and you can find my recommendations regarding what you should do during your stay at Istanbul.

You know, most of the tourists just visit the most popular places and return to their countries without experiencing the real city life.

The objective of my blog is to help you to see the real city life in Istanbul.

Ancient Greek town, Assos

Assos is one of the famous anicent Greek towns in Turkey. It is in Canakkale city and very close to Midilli (Lesvos) island of Greece. The Athena temple and ancient shore of Assos are fantastic places to meet. There are lots of Greek, French and German tourists in Assos. It is more cheap to stay at the pensions in the village of Behramkale which is on the road of Athena temple. I advise you to stay at Tekin Pansiyon which is very clean and cheap. There are very expensive hotels on the coast of Assos if you can afford it.

I have taken those photos in my visit to Assos
