Rumeli Hisari

Rumeli Hisari is the fortess that stays on the European side of Istanbul. This was built in 4 months in 1452 by the Ottoman Turks. This spot is one of the narrowest sections of the Bosphorus.The fortress was built here to stop any ships passing through Bosphorus.
