Istanbul Park, Formula 1

Formula 1 Istanbul track is in Tuzla Tepeören area and covers a total area of 2,215,000 m2. The architect of the Formula 1 Istanbul Track, Herman Tilke has designed the track as 5,338km (3,317 mile) length, 14-21.5 m width and to be run as counter clockwise. The total number of curves on the track is 14, which consists of 6 right and 8 left, and the maximum speed is 320.58 km/ hour. The highest inclination in length is 8.145 % on the track which has an uneven surface with ups and downs. The total spectator capacity of the Istanbul track is 130.000 people.

The large number of slopes on the track makes the sport distinctive by causing the track to be tough from the sporting point of view. Another differentiating factor is that the Istanbul Otodrom Track is a newly constructed Track and thus it will stage a different excitement compared to the known race tracks.
